About the Drum Trio

This is an interactive, as well as entertaining drumming workshop experience. The learners will be provided with percussion instruments, to participate throughout the show. We bring everything to you!

Learners love to be part of the different rhythms by joining in on shakers and boomwackers. Instead of competing against each other, they will be working together, which is great for team building. This workshop will quickly show learners (and teachers!) that there is much more to drumming and percussion as one might think. They are going to be pleasantly surprised!

The way The Drum Trio fuses music and education, acquaints learners with several aspects of music such as:

  • Hand-eye co-ordination
  • Rhythmic compositions
  • Ear training
  • Team building
  • Time keeping
  • Improvisation
  • Approach of different musical genres
  • Basic rhythmic theory
  • Sound source concepts
  • Different time signatures
  • …and of course, ENTERTAINMENT.

The Drum Trio was amazing. It was really good. I never thought that drums alone would sound so good. I always thought that it should be a drum, guitar and so on. They definitely changed my view on music.

Our ears were blessed with the musically gifted Drum Trio. It was really an interactive adventure and enlightening to know that drums can produce such amazing, separate beats, forming one that sounds like a cool song. Thank you very much for this great experience.

The interactive drumming session was an experience I don’t think I would be able to experience elsewhere. The melodies we created in Maitisong, might have scared a few birds on campus away, but it was well worth it. We played music on colourful instruments, or should I say, smacked colourful Boomwhackers with sticks to a certain beat. Even though we caused noise pollution, it was an experience I would never forget.

I really had an amazing time! The people were really nice and have a lot of talent. The Boomwhackers we were playing sound very nice. Although I wish it could have been longer. I feel bad that they had to spend so much and we had to spend so little when we were the ones watching.

I really enjoyed the drumming concert, because it was very interactive as they let us play a bit with them. They made us play some beats with them, and in the beginning it was difficult, but at the end I got the hang of it.

I really enjoyed it because it was creative. I liked that they let us be part of the act, and let people go on stage. It was nice that they came up with the beats for us and helped us with it.

Thanks for the awesome drumming. It was swell. The way they twirled the drumsticks in their hands was rad. I enjoyed playing the sound stick things; they were fun. I got green, so, that was cool. When I was little, I remember playing with those sticks at the ‘Fernbank Museum’. Overall, the performance was excellent. The rhythmic beats you guys played were catchy. I would recommend your band to any other schools.

They were very entertaining and talented. They incorporated an appropriate amount of audience interaction, which kept us awake and amused, It was an unforgettable experience.

The Drum Trio was extremely interesting and well-coordinated, which made the performance that much more interesting. The drummers made sure to include us in their work; that got the crowd excited and enthusiastic and well entertained.
